I will fully apologise for my lack of communication with the food challenge! It was a 12 week challenge, I know a few weeks have been missed but I will still run 12 challenges.
Start back today and this week: NO MEAT!
Make a dish that would be suitable for vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian.
Remember the PRIZE is 4 free 1-2-1 pt sessions with Dan.
I will post the score board later today
Lunch. Boiled eggs and toast with avocado, cucumber and tomato dressed in lime juice, chilli flakes and Katzu mayo..😋
Week 9..... Steak dinner
Let's see your steak dinners 🥩
How do you like yours?
Steak dinner 2 🙌🤣 would defo recommend! 😍 Portuguese style steak, with sliced potatoes and a really tasty gravy! Again..it was cooked for me but so good! 🤤
Additional to this week salad challange. Mexican chicken with mozzarella..Cook chicken with taco seasoning, paprika in olive oil, add green, red pepper and red onion, with garlic and chorizo. Cook until veg softens and add chicken stock and tom puree, add cup of rice and cook until rice is cooked adding water if needed. Top with mozzarella and gril then garnish with chilli and spring onion. Yuuuummmy..avocado and wraps would work well with this!!
Week 8 of the food challenge
I'm so glad to see the weather picking up a little.
Why not burst into the week with some freshness and get your salads made up.
This week we have salad tosser.
Let's see those vibrant colours and foods 😋 🥗
I was chatting with Dan on Saturday and we realised just how amazing this community has become, The Coaching Corner is more than just a gym it's a family.
Between the end of March and whatever the next incarnation is let's all take responsibility for keeping the community, the family going.
Step challenge. Recipe challenge and anything else you can think of.
Come the better weather I'll organise a scavenger hunt, @Alison Cox will love that, we talked about community walks or maybe group sessions outdoors.
I know the group and the community aspect is important to @Daniel Kyle so let's @Everyone make sure we're supporting him and showing him some love.
I’m so sad,I love going to the classes and also spending time with a great bunch of people!I will defo be here for if you ever start up again Dan!Until then I’ve joined the kelty gym!😬🤦🏽♀️

This isn't for the food challenge, just general nutrition. Hungry after burn tonight and needed something fast. Instant noodles with added cooked chicken for protein. Frozen veg, spring onion, chilli, soy sauce..voila. better than just plain old.
Right folks week 4 of the food challenge!!

Week 3 of our world culture food challenge.... MEXICAN!
Cant wait to see what is brought to the table this week 😋
So I know previously I have struggled with protein intake, as much as you all have, and it is so important to us when working out and recovery.
Just creating a wee post to see what we can take for a higher protein intake, excluding your meats and fishes.
What is your protein snack go to?
If sharing, try to share the protein amount.
@Daniel Kyle you could maybe give a few suggestions 😉
Here is a few of mine
Decent post bud 👌
Keeping protein as whole and lean via meat and dairy is gonna be your first and best bet. An extra bacon medallion at breakfast or chucking more bolognese and less pasta on your plate is often all that's needed.
With regards to snacks it's Easy to fall into marketing pitfalls with packaging making shiny claims.
Here is some tips to narrow the field.
-there are 4 cals per gram of protein so if something says 20g of protein then only 80cals account for that. I've often bought products that are 250cal bars where only 80cals consist of protein meaning I just squandered 170cals on fats and carbs that I could have used elsewhere in my budget.
-although snacks are easy and convenient they often are small and not that filling so try and get the most volume you can for the least cals. Low fat yoghurt is a decent shout here as you get a lot of volume for low cals and can add more simply by clicking some fruit in too.
Week 2 of our World Culture Food challenge!

Remember 1 point for a picture, 1 point for macros, and maybe random points from Dan the Man, if he feels like it 😂
